Melissa Cobbs, M.D.

Dr. Melissa Cobbs is a native of Atlanta. She received her medical degree from Emory University in 1989 and completed the OB/GYN residency program at Emory in 1993. Dr. Cobbs had a thriving practice in Savannah, GA for many years while also raising three boys! She returned to her hometown in 2020.

Melissa has a special interest in preventive care and wellness of her patients. She aspires to have a team approach with her patients to foster the development of “healthy habits”. She is devoted to providing care to those who have poor access to basic health care, believing that this is a basic human right. She considers volunteer medicine a privilege. She has also gained great personal reward from volunteer work in Nepal and Guatemala. She is now dedicated to her work at the Physicians Care Clinic and hopes to continue to serve these important patients.
